The cargo guide places pets in the hold whether or not their owner shares the flight. Use a rigid plastic, metal or wooden crate with metal door, bolts, ventilation, a leak-proof floor and natural movement space. Clip-only, collapsible, top-opening and plastic-door crates are prohibited. Recommended size/weight bands range from 60 × 40 × 40 cm / 17 kg to 101 × 68 × 76 cm / 90 kg; larger crates need compatibility confirmation.
Selected official conditions only, for the operating airline and the direction, aircraft, service and dates stated in each rule. A mode tab may contain a prohibition or unresolved condition; it does not grant carriage. Obtain actual pet space approval and origin/transit/destination clearance separately. Assistance animals, commercial movement and unlisted services need separate assessment.
Dogs/cats under six months need Cargo headquarters approval. Pregnant, nursing, unweaned, sick or sedated pets are refused. Listed short-nosed or aggressive dogs and mixes are prohibited; listed cats include British Shorthair and Scottish Fold. Label crate and air waybill with a 24-hour emergency contact and temperature instructions. Confirm the current route and price.
