Weigh the complete setup
Both sampled airlines publish an 8 kg cabin limit including the carrier. Weigh the pet with the carrier you will actually use. A pet-only measurement cannot be compared directly with a combined limit.
Keep the order of dimensions
Iberia lists 45 cm length, 35 cm width and 25 cm height, with a maximum sum of 105 cm. The reviewed Lufthansa page gives 55 × 40 × 23 cm without naming each axis in the extracted text; confirm the orientation with the airline.
A size limit is not a fit assessment
Read the airline’s material, ventilation, closure and animal-position requirements as well. Check the actual aircraft and seating restrictions before buying a carrier. Ask a veterinarian about your pet’s health and fitness to fly.
