Weight limits
Dog / Cat · In the cabin
Dogs and cats may weigh at most 8 kg with the carrier. One carrier per passenger may contain at most two pets within that limit; keep it closed under the seat. Soft carriers: Finnair 55 L × 40 W × 23 H cm, Norra 55 × 40 × 20 cm; rigid carriers 35 × 30 × 20 cm. No pets in long-haul Business. Jettime has separate dimensions. Puppies must be at least eight weeks old and weaned; destination rules may be stricter.

Combined hold limits are 75 kg on Finnair and 50 kg on Norra. Crates: A 330/350/A 319/320/321, 122 L × 81 W × 89 H cm; Norra E 90, 101 × 68 × 76 cm; ATR, 81 × 57 × 53 cm. Animals over 40 kg need reinforced crates. Two compatible adults or three same-litter animals up to six months may share if each is at most 14 kg; destination restrictions also apply.

For hold travel, book the flight at least seven days ahead and contact online customer service within 24 hours of booking. Connections must be Finnair/Norra with at least three hours; collect and recheck the pet in Helsinki and satisfy Finnish entry rules. Add cabin pets before check-in opens; use airport check-in. Above 75/50 kg, unaccompanied travel or non-EU third-person transport requires a freight agent. Travel to/via the UK, Hong Kong, UAE or Australia may require cargo.

Published cabin fees in Europe: EUR 60 at least seven days ahead, otherwise EUR 65. Intercontinental: EUR 120 / USD 130 early, otherwise EUR 130 / USD 140. Hold one-way fees per crate: Europe EUR 140; intercontinental EUR 650 / USD 700. Local taxes may be added; cargo is quoted separately.
