Selected ordinary dog/cat cabin service: domestic minimum eight weeks; cats entering the US at least 16 weeks, dogs entering the US at least six months with chip and CDC receipt/history documents; EU travel at least 15 weeks. Normally one pet per carrier. Compatible same-breed/size pairs aged eight weeks to six months and mother/litter exceptions have separate conditions; do not treat them as unconditional newborn carriage.

One closed soft carrier under the seat, leak-proof and ventilated on three sides domestically/four internationally, with natural movement space. 18 × 11 × 11 in is recommended for most aircraft, not a universal maximum; check actual aircraft. One personal item OR carry-on in addition, not both. Keep pets enclosed in the airport, lounge and aboard except security/relief procedures.

Contact Delta Reservations promptly with carrier dimensions; limited space needs approval. Domestic First quota two excluding flat-bed seats; Comfort/Main four; international Business, Delta One and Premium zero ordinary pets. Special Service Counter checks carrier and collects the fee. Tickets issued from 8 April 2025: US/Canada/PR/USVI USD/CAD 150 each way; international USD/CAD/EUR 200, Brazil USD 200, subject to route eligibility and departure currency.

Applicable conditions
The exception list has a to/from heading but explicitly singles out pets originating in Brazil/Colombia/Dominican Republic and flights to Hawaii; do not assume reverse-direction acceptance from those exceptions. Australia, Barbados, Hong Kong, Iceland, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, UK and UAE are also listed. Obtain Delta confirmation for actual direction and documents before booking.

Until further notice Delta pet shipments are limited to active US Military or State Department Foreign Service personnel with active permanent-change-of-station orders. Ordinary private travellers cannot infer cargo availability from the detailed crate/fee instructions below that restriction. Confirm eligibility directly.
