Selected New Zealand domestic accompanied baggage: pet+carrier at most 60 kg. Domestic cats/dogs travel in suitable carriers on eligible flights. Alone, commercial, heavier/oversize animals require the cargo route; international rules are separate.

ATR/Q 300 maximum is 85 cm high×66 cm wide×115 cm long. Use an IATA-compliant rigid carrier with ventilation, secure fasteners/door, absorbent floor, outside-fillable water container and enough room to stand/sit/turn/lie. Wheels must be removed or disabled. Sharing has specific age, familiarity and 14 kg-per-animal conditions.

Submit the pet request after booking, including age, species, rounded-up combined weight and dimensions. Regional routes with more than one carrier per person require approved cargo transport. Arrive 60 minutes before departure. The published domestic pet fee is NZD 120, plus any excess-baggage charge; the carrier counts toward baggage allowance.

For this domestic New Zealand path the airline says vaccination/veterinary paperwork is not required, but the animal must be healthy and fit. Puppies/kittens must be over eight weeks; this is not an international entry-document exemption.
