- Pets traveling as cargo (checked baggage or SAS Cargo) must meet specific requirements regarding crate size, ventilation, and documentation. This applies to pets too large for the cabin or for destinations where cabin travel is not permitted.

- Brachycephalic (snub-nosed) breeds of dogs and cats may be subject to additional restrictions or not accepted due to breathing difficulties, especially in warmer conditions. Contact SAS Cargo for specific information.

- SAS may implement seasonal embargoes for pet travel in cargo during extreme temperatures (hot or cold) at certain airports. Check with SAS Cargo.
