On Lufthansa-operated flights, small dogs and cats may travel in the cabin subject to approval and route restrictions. The combined animal-and-carrier weight must not exceed 8 kg. Codeshares follow the operating airline’s rules.

Iberia Group’s cabin policy allows dogs and cats up to 8 kg including the carrier, subject to approval, route and operating-airline restrictions. Confirm each operating carrier separately.

Use a securely closable soft-sided carrier, maximum published dimensions 55 × 40 × 23 cm. The source does not label the dimension order. The animal must stand naturally, lie down and turn inside; one cabin carrier per passenger.

The cabin carrier limit is 45 cm long × 35 cm wide × 25 cm high, with a dimension sum no greater than 105 cm. It must be secure, ventilated and leak-proof. On Air Nostrum-operated flights it must not be rigid.

Book early and obtain confirmation. The general page gives 72 hours before departure for online/travel-agent registration, or a 24-hour Service Center deadline. USA-related registrations have a separate 72-hour form process; do not assume the 24-hour option applies.

Request a route-specific quote. Lufthansa charges per flight direction; return travel and stopovers over 24 hours are charged again. Hold pricing also depends on carrier size and may include transfer surcharges.
